Oinochoe by the Lotus Cross Painter

Late Corinthian, First half of 6th century B.C.

Clay. Lavish use of added white and red. Intact and very well preserved. Globular vase with trefoil mouth; showing a lotus cross between two sirens facing each other with spread wings;tongue pattern above the scene. An unusually fine vase.Attributed by Prof. Dr. C.W. Neeft.
