Fragment of a relief with woman in front of a temple

Magna Graecia, 5th century B.C.

Terracotta with remains of red colour. Woman draped in a chiton and a cloak to the right. Her hair drawn back and bound at the nape of her neck. The female figure is placed in front of a gate with a big rosette and fittings.

 

Belgian private collection H.-B., acquired in the 1980s, before Dutch collection of the 1960s.
