Funerary lekythos with inscription

Greek, 4th century B.C.

Marble. Upper part missing, some chips. Attic funerary lekythos depicting two female figures and a funerary stele in high relief. On the right a seated young woman, the deceased, with chiton and himation. Her feet on a foot stool. In front of her another woman wearing a long chiton, the servant-maid. In her left hand a small box. On the left a unique depiction of a funerary stele erected on two steps and crowned by a pediment with akroteria. Inscription above the figure on the right:
