Head of an idol

Early Cycladic I-II, 2800 – 2700 BC, Grotta-Pelos culture, Louros Type

Fine grained marble. The highly stylized, triangular-shaped head of a Cycladic idol is tilted backwards. Characteristic of the Louros Type is the lack of facial features and nose.
