Jug

Alaca Höyük, Early Bronze Age, 3rd millennium BC

Polished black clay. Compressed spherical body with short neck, flaring rim and one flat handle from mouth to shoulder. The body with vertical and at handle area curved fluted decoration. Hairline cracks at the neck; chips to the mouth.
