Sidonian Amphoriskos

Roman, 1st Century AD
Light olive green glass.
H 7.5 cm

Mold-blown Amphoriskos with ovoid body, flat bottom, cylindrical neck and flaring rim. From shoulder to neck two opposite handles. A central band of tendril scrolls bordered above and below by a horizontal raised line. Shoulder area and lower body decorated with tongue pattern. Unbroken, cracks in neck and rim.
