Aryballos

Roman, 1st century AD
Bronze.
H with lid 9.8 cm

Bronze. Spherical corpus with short slender neck, concave-filleted lip and base with beautifully concentric circles in relief on the bottom. A richly decorated lid with stopper. Vessel and lid intact; part of a ring of a chain at lid.
