Amphora

Etruscan, 8th – 7th century BC

Red-brown impasto. Hand-formed body with long narrowing neck and flaring rim on ring-foot. The shoulder zone is decorated with four ribs and one knob encircled by semicircular ribs on either side. The handles twisted into a loop at the top. Body intact, small repair at rim and tip of boss.
